Volkswagen holds a special place in American culture. It is celebrated for its iconic vehicles, which symbolize freedom and adventure.
75th anniversary
On January 17, 1949, our story with America began when our quirky, little Beetle made its debut. It’s because of all of you that our story continues to this very day. That’s why we’re celebrating this iconic moment with our first big game commercial in over a decade and VW love stories about our classic cars from the past 75 years.
From the Beetle and the Bus, through the Rabbit, Jetta and GTI, and to the Tiguan and Atlas, Volkswagen has always maintained its status as “the people’s car”—delivering not just great value in transportation, but fun-to-drive cars with a unique style.
